Another Week, Another Chapter!

Hi everyone! Another week has gone by and I cannot believe how fast the months are going, and I won't even touch the topic of how fast the years are going by!

I think citing resources is good because it shows that we, as students, have done our research and it forces us to write our projects/papers in our own words rather than copy them from the research articles we have read.

Real World plagiarism hmmm I'm not sure how this should be handled, but I do feel that if someone copies word for word they should not be entitled to a good grade. That's just my opinion!

Sites such as YouTube and Wikipedia are a waste of time. I think some of the things on You Tube are on there because those people have too much time on their hands and have nothing better to do or shall I say don't find anything better to do. I frown upon my children surfing the YouTube website. Again, that's my opinion!

So did everyone have a nice Thanksgiving? Ours was quiet, spent the time with my parents in New Jersey. My parents are going to be 85, mom in December, Dad in January. Of course he tells her she's older because he was born in the year after her lol. They have been together since they were 14 years old 71 years and wouldn't be without one another. They had their ups and downs but they stuck it out! God bless mom and dad!

Christmas is on it's way and retail is moving right along but it's not booming. People are shopping but mostly looking for sales. Taking classes, working and keeping a household together takes a lot of energy lol. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Spent the day with my son, he's in school in Salisbury, Maryland and he was happy to spend the time with his sister and I. We had a nice lunch and took him shopping for clothes, of course that was the best part for him lol.

Off to do my Unit 4 work and onto the work for my other two classes.

P.S. Thank you everyone for your prayers for Henry, my ex-father In law he's doing much better and it's a miracle he's alive.

Until next blog ciao'

  1. Hi Joanne!
Yes! It is amazing how quickly time flies when your having "fun"! And as of today, there are only 19 days till Christmas!! Yiep! I'm just stressing as to what to get my 17 year old son for Christmas. He works, and buys his own stuff. I guess gift cards will have to do.
I recieved a blessing this week. I started a new job at Rite Aid. I really like it, and the co-workers are friendly. I can only have part-time for now, but there will be alot of advancement opprotunities soon.
I loved reading about your parents! They have been together since they were 14! That is so amazingly wonderful,to be able to share a life-time together. And now in their older years to be able to enjoy their family and grandchildren, it seems almost like a fairy tale. I am happy for them. My family tree has not been so blessed.
Thank you for the update on Henry. When I first read about him, it really tugged on my heart. I will continue to keep him in my prayers.
    See ya in Class!
    Mary

  2. Your parents sound like a great couple. You are so blessed to have had them together for that long.

  3. Yes, my parents are an example of what marriage is supposed to be! They had their ups and downs, many of them, and they stuck it out and now they are there for one another and it's nice to see them care for one another when I am there. I have to sit back and give them their space because they are like little robots, lol they have that a.m. and p.m. routine that you just can't interfere with because they get flustered. they are cute, I will post a picture of them on my blog if I can. God sure has blessed me with having them so long, I only wish I lived closer, they live in NJ and I in Maryland and it's not exactly fun driving 3-4 hours up and back in one day but I've done it. They only have me since my younger brother passed away in June from Lunch Cancer and it's been hard on them. They will never get over it as parents we know what they are probably going through.

I made 13 yrs. in my marriage and it saddens me sometimes that I will not make a 50 year anniversary. oh well, it's what it is! : )
